What is Title IX?
Title IX is a federal law that prohibits any educational intuition that receives federal funding from discrimination based on sex. While Title IX itself is a concise statute, the Supreme Court has rendered numerous decisions expanding its scope. Title IX applies to discrimination based on a person’s sex in any aspect of education, including student health services, student employment, and financial aid offerings.

- Public and private colleges
- Vocational and trade schools
