SUSAN C. STONE | Partner
Susan serves as the co-chair of KJK’s Student & Athlete Defense/Title IX Practice Group and has earned national recognition from Best Lawyers in America as the Best Lawyer in Education Law in both 2022 and 2025. Understanding the critical need for legal services dedicated to safeguarding the rights of students, professors, and individuals with disabilities, Susan addresses a wide range of issues, including special education matters, student conduct cases, and Title IX investigations. Her advocacy has successfully prevented numerous students from facing suspension or expulsion. Additionally, Susan defends graduate students, professors, and scientists against allegations of research misconduct and scientific fraud. With the rise of virtual learning, she also represents students accused of cheating, plagiarism, and academic dishonesty.
Kristina W. Supler | Partner
As co-chair of KJK’s Student & Athlete Defense/Title IX Practice Group, Kristina has spent years serving the legal needs of students and professors in crisis. In addition to protecting individuals facing criminal prosecution in state and federal courts across the country, Kristina has earned a national reputation for her work representing students in Title IX proceedings. Aside from being a skilled Title IX lawyer, her work also includes cases involving student misconduct, academic misconduct and scientific research misconduct. When clients have faced threats to their personal and professional reputations, Kristina has successfully spearheaded defamation lawsuits and online reputation management.
Anna E. Bullock | Associate
Anna is a skilled, civic-minded attorney who provides support within KJK’s Litigation, Student & Athlete Defense and other practice groups. Prior to joining the firm’s Cleveland office, she served as a law clerk. Anna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in anthropology from The Ohio State University, and a Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Dayna M Hloska | Student Advocate
Dayna focuses on higher education, including Title IX, campus misconduct and other disciplinary matters. She provides advocacy and support for students involved in proceedings related to sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other forms of sexual misconduct primarily in Title IX proceedings.

Rasheeda Hoston Smialek | Independent Education Programs Consultant
Rasheeda is an Independent Education Programs Consultant who plays a key role in supporting our student and athlete defense team with Special Education advocacy services. Rasheeda has more than twenty-five years of experience within a school setting. As an independently licensed school psychologist and a professional with extensive experience as a director of special education services, Rasheeda specializes in providing targeted professional development and goal setting for parents and educators, which is inclusive of guidance counselors, intervention specialists, and general educators. Her experience includes evaluating students for special needs, implementing evidence-based instructional practices, creating plans that provide targeted specially designed instruction (SDIs), and writing individual education programs (IEPs) to enhance instructional outcomes.
Rasheeda has a proven track record of reviewing policies and making recommendations to align instructional programming with state and federal mandates. Her leadership experience includes utilizing culturally responsive and equitable practices in urban educational settings, and she has collaborated with superintendent cabinet teams on federal and state grant implementations, including IDEA, Title, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, ESSER and ARP Homeless Round II. She is passionate about ensuring that every student, regardless of their educational need, has access to a curriculum that acknowledges their learning abilities and is taught in ways that meet their individual needs. Rasheeda believes that with the right advocacy and guidance, all students can achieve their full potential through a well-designed and inclusive educational program.
Davida Amkraut | Independent College Consultant
Davida serves as the saving grace for students and families in crisis who are navigating the complex college application process. Whether a student finds themselves in trouble and is applying to college for the first time, or is transitioning from one university to another due to a Title IX or other university-related misconduct claim, Davida helps young adults shape their stories so that they gain acceptance into college.
