Mauna Loa is also home to some impressive views, but what makes it so special is that it’s one of only two volcanoes on Earth that still has active hydrothermal systems. This means that hot water and minerals continue to flow underground even after eruptions stop! If you’re lucky enough to visit during an eruption, be prepared for some strong sulfur smells and loud noises. It really is an experience not to be missed!
